"WaterOne Valving & Services Manager Kiel Johnson has been honored as a Fellow with the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). The NSPE Fellow Program is a national program recognizing professional engineers who have demonstrated long-term service within the professional organization, as well as in their profession and their community. Each regional chapter is allowed one nomination per year, and finalists are selected and approved by the national Council of Fellows executive committee. The recognition was presented at the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE) state conference on June 24th.
Kiel has been a member of NSPE since 2008, serving in numerous positions at the chapter, state, and national level. He frequently volunteers for events that promote STEM education and training, such as Future Cities, Model Bridge Building, MathCounts, and others. Kiel has also received several other prestigious recognitions by NSPE, including the NSPE-KS Eastern Chapter Engineer of the Year award in 2016.
“I’m very humbled to have received this honor,” Kiel said. “NSPE is dedicated to the support and advancement of the engineering profession, and I’m proud to be a Fellow of this society.”
