WaterOne Wins Awards For Employee Health & Wellness

WaterOne has again been recognized for its programs, benefits, and culture which promote employee health and wellness. The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has awarded WaterOne its Platinum Level “Healthy KC” certification, the Chamber’s highest award recognizing excellence in promoting health and wellness policies. This award marks the third consecutive Platinum Level certification presented to WaterOne. Additionally, the Kansas City Business Journal has recognized WaterOne as a 4-time honoree for Kansas City’s Healthiest Employers award, which highlights area businesses that make health and wellness a priority at their companies. These recent awards affirm WaterOne as one of the top organizations in the region for excellence in employee health and wellness.

The awards evaluated WaterOne on criteria such as its wellness program, insurance and benefit offerings, workplace satisfaction scores, and efforts to promote workforce diversity and inclusion. WaterOne was rated favorably for its robust wellness program, which promotes a healthy lifestyle through annual biometric screenings, nutritious vending options, incentives for quitting tobacco use, paid volunteer opportunities, and more. In addition, employees can take advantage of a variety of healthy amenities and activities, such as walking trails and fully equipped on-site fitness centers, discounts on wearable health devices like Garmin Fitbits, kitchen facilities to help support good personal nutrition, and much more. Employees are also invited to participate in annual Wellness Weeks to learn more about maintaining a healthy lifestyle both at work and at home. WaterOne’s health and wellness offerings receive broad participation throughout its workforce.

WaterOne’s strong culture of health and wellness is made possible through the talent, creativity, and commitment of its Human Resources team.

“We’re proud to again receive this recognition for our wellness program, which shows that WaterOne stands out as an employer of choice,” said Senior HR Generalist Katie Peed. “In HR, we routinely attend workshops and events to research innovative ideas for benefits and wellness. We bring those ideas back to WaterOne to make our own wellness program better every year for WaterOne employees.”
