Spring Hill Merger
Welcome to WaterOne – Your Trusted Water Provider
We are excited to partner with the City of Spring Hill to begin the process of becoming the water utility for all of Spring Hill's current customers over the next year. This move ensures consistency and reliability of your water service into the future as well as a more competitive rate for that service. WaterOne is proud to be an award-winning water provider and eager to support the needs of our community, including this expansion into Spring Hill with the City’s invitation and support.
Beginning Summer 2025, we’ll begin an intentional planned process to begin providing water. In early 2026, we anticipate welcoming all Spring Hill utility customers as full WaterOne customers through billing and customer service support. Let’s walk through the process and what this means for you.
NEXT STEPS
WATER: Your water is 100% provided by WaterOne. WaterOne gradually, intentionally mixed our award-winning water with Spring Hill’s current water source(s) throughout the summer to introduce and blend the different water supplies.
BILLING/CUSTOMER SERVICE: Starting January 20th, Spring Hill customers will be fully merged as WaterOne customers. A letter will be mailed with account information the last week of January to provide details and information on being a new WaterOne customer.

- Why hasn’t my bill changed even though we are getting WaterOne water now?
-
WaterOne is currently wholesaling water to Spring Hill, but customers are not set up in our system. Spring Hill customers will be charged at WaterOne’s rate once the full switch is made around January 20th, 2026.
- Who do I call with a billing question or water quality question?
-
Until the full merger date, call Spring Hill with any billing and water quality questions. After the merger date, call WaterOne Customer Service at 913-895-1800 (Monday – Friday 8a-5p)
- When will WaterOne take full control of our water accounts?
-
We’re planning to merge at the end of January 2026.
- When will I see my first bill from WaterOne?
-
March for residential customers and February for commercial customers.
- How often will I be billed for water services?
-
Bi-monthly for residential customers. Monthly for commercial customers.
- Is WaterOne going to be billing me for sewer services?
-
No, WaterOne provides drinking water only. Wastewater will be billed by Spring Hill.
- Why is the City merging water services with WaterOne?
-
Spring Hill reached out to WaterOne years ago to explore the possibility of a merger. With changing regulations and rising costs, it made sense to add Spring Hill to our service area to offer consistent water quality at lower rates. After many discussions, mapping, asset assessments, and more we agreed to merge in 2026.
- How much lower will my rate be?
-
Spring Hill customers may see a noticeable drop in their water bills. WaterOne’s rate is lower than your previous water provider’s. It will depend on water usage; however, most customers will see a reduction in costs.
- What's the procedure for setting up accounts at WaterOne? Do customers need to set up an account or is WaterOne already doing it?
-
WaterOne will be transferring all customer accounts from Spring Hill to our system. There will be no action for the customer to take to transfer your service.
We do have two online portals we’d love customers to sign up for in order to self serve with billing & payments, as well as monitor your water usage.
WaterOne will be at Spring Hill’s City Hall (date to be determined) to assist customers in setting up their portals.
