Johnson County is the most populous county in the state of Kansas and WaterOne has steadily grown with it, providing a water system that has sustained its robust economic growth since 1957. WaterOne's original service area encompassed a small section in northeast county based out of the Mission area (Kansas City Suburban Water Company, or KCSWC). Over the decades, surrounding private, municipal, and rural water companies joined WaterOne's service area due to its reliable service quality, competitive rates, commitment to investing in and maintaining good infrastructure, and its stable management.
Today, our service area covers 17 cities and 272 square miles. We're proud of our history and we share our history of expansion with you as a reflection of our great service, careful planning for the future, and strong relationships with area cities and developers. We appreciate the leaders and employees - past and present - who made WaterOne what it is today. And we appreciate the opportunity to be your water service provider - thank you.
