Over the last three decades, Dr. Melanie Kraft has built a career in service through medicine - first as a family medicine and occupational medicine physician, then sharing her knowledge as an educator teaching residents as a faculty physician, and finally as a Medical Director for a rural Federal Qualified Health Clinic. Her passion for preventive medicine and health advocacy centers on educating patients and working collaboratively with fellow medical providers to improve the quality of healthcare. Her role as a WaterOne board member is an extension of this effort, entrusted with ensuring regulatory compliance and fiduciary oversight. Clean water is the foundation of healthy communities. Her experience is complemented with her background in biochemistry and experience in forensic drug testing for the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Dr. Kraft is a proud long-term resident of the Kansas City area. She trained at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City and is a graduate of Rockhurst University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
