Project Description

As our infrastructure continues to age, we proactively replace water mains in conjunction with City projects to ensure safe, reliable, high-quality water service to our community with superior service. WaterOne will be upgrading existing 2”, 8” and 6”  PVC (install date: 1976) to a 12” PVC water main along Quivira Road between 151st St. and 159th St. WaterOne's work is scheduled to begin in June of 2017 and last until January 2018.  This project was planned in coordination with the City of Overland Park improvement project, which is set to begin in late 2017 or early 2018.

LATEST UPDATE: 154th Terrace will be closed intermittently at Quivira Rd 12/13 through 12/15, between the hours of 8 am & 3 pm.

Work is temporarily on hold until a private wastewater system can be relocated. When work resumes, the water main installation project is expected to be completed in early January 2018.

Quivira will be closed on the south side of 153rd starting next Tuesday through the following Tuesday (9/19 to 9/26).

Quivira Rd will be closed from the hours of 8 to 3 through Friday (8/18) at 155th Terrace.
