Applications will only be accepted for actual WaterOne job openings that are posted. No unsolicited applications will be accepted.

Each position listed in our job openings includes minimum and/or preferred qualifications. Applicants not meeting the minimum qualifications or an acceptable equivalent for a position will not be considered for employment.

New vacancies will remain open for a minimum of five (5) working days and are subject to close at any time thereafter. Each job posting will indicate if there is a specific application deadline.

Opportunities may be closed, withdrawn, or extended without notice. Human Resources has the discretion to extend the closing date if an insufficient number of applications from qualified candidates have been received.

Our Hiring Process

STEP 1:  Create a Candidate Profile and search for job listings on the WaterOne Career Portal.  Once your profile is set up, you may submit your resume for a posted job to be considered for a position.

STEP 2:  Wait patiently, please.  Once submitted, your resume will be reviewed by WaterOne staff.  Qualified candidates will be contacted to complete an online hiring application. Due to the large volume of resumes we receive and the time we invest in reviewing each candidate, you will only be contacted if you are selected to move forward in the hiring process.  

 

Background Checks & Screenings

Finalists for any position are subject to a background check. If you’re interviewed, you’ll be asked to complete and sign a form authorizing WaterOne to obtain a background report in the event that you’re selected as a finalist. All background checks are conducted in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. [Link to document – WaterOne site.]

As part of the post-offer process, successful applicants will be required to complete a physical examination which includes a drug screen and thorough background check, including criminal history, driving record, verification of education and employment history.

Nepotism Policy

In order to promote a competitive professional environment, we cannot consider you for employment if you’re related to an active WaterOne board member or current employee. This means any relationship by blood or marriage (including common law marriage) including father, mother, husband, wife, common law spouse, sister, brother, children, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, aunt, uncle, nephew, niece, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, first cousin, or legal guardian and the same step relations. Relatives by adoption and legal wards are included in this definition.
