Jim Vader Honored for Service On WaterOne Board

Post Date:12/13/2017 2:30 PM

Long-serving board member Jim Vader was recognized at the December Board meeting and presented with a resolution commemorating his 24 years of service on WaterOne's Governing Board. During his time on the WaterOne Board, Jim Vader served on numerous committees and helped approve many different construction projects and expansions. His knowledge, experience and leadership was a major contribution to WaterOne's stability and national recognition over the years. Jim's seat will be filled by board member-elect Kay Heley, who will be sworn-in in January 2018.

Jim thanked his fellow Board members, industry contacts, and General Manager Mike Armstrong and Board Secretary Jill Bell for their leadership and assistance to the board. Jim also took the opportunity to introduce and congratulate incoming Board Member Kay Heley. In his remarks, Jim expressed his pleasure of working with WaterOne and its people.

"Former board member Dick Weisser originally encouraged me to run," Jim said. "He told me, 'I want you to remember that water people are very proud of their industry, and they're very professional.' As the years went on, I realized that was true at every meeting I went to."
