WaterOne Gets Top Bond Ratings
WaterOne's bond ratings are a good indicator of the financial health of the utility. Recently, WaterOne was given excellent marks by several bond rating agencies. Both Standard & Poor's and Moody's have rated our bonds as AAA, which is the highest rating possible.
"This is very good news for WaterOne's ratepayers," said Director of Finance Darin Kamradt. "Better ratings mean we pay less in interest, which is ultimately savings that will be passed on to our customers in future years."
As a utility, WaterOne's qualifications have been so strong that S&P presented WaterOne as a "case study" in the recent past.
"A bond rating is a mix of factors both in our control and out of our control," said Kamradt. "S&P offered WaterOne as an example to other utilities of what it takes to earn an AAA rating. They look very favorably on things like our fiscal policies, long-tenured board, strong management, effective communication, and the affluence of our service area."
"They have told us that WaterOne sets the standard for a AAA-rated organization," Kamradt said.

Fix those leaks! Faucet leaks are usually caused by worn washers or O rings. Check your faucet washer periodically… https://t.co/G9Wm18lgWs
