Kamradt Promoted to Director of Finance

Darin Kamradt Feb 2017 03WaterOne is pleased to announce the promotion of Darin Kamradt to Director of Finance, effective February 2nd. Darin has almost 20 years of financial management experience at WaterOne, and in his previous role as WaterOne’s Manager of Financial Planning he was responsible for overseeing WaterOne’s budgeting and long-term planning horizon. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Webster University in Kansas City, MO where he teaches graduate level finance courses in the MBA program.  The promotion follows the retirement of former Director of Finance Ron Appletoft.

“Darin has extensive organizational knowledge and proven dedication to the organization,” said Mike Armstrong, General Manager of WaterOne.  “With Darin’s leadership, WaterOne will continue our proud track record of the financial stability that our ratepayers expect.”

Darin holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rockhurst University and a Master of Science in Finance from Webster University.  He is a Certified Public Finance Officer, a Certified Treasury Professional, and a Certified Financial Planning & Analysis Professional.  He is a member of the Governmental Finance Officers Association, the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the Association of Financial Professionals. In the past, he has served as President of the Eastern Kansas Governmental Finance Officers Association. Darin is also a member of the Rates and Charges Committee of AWWA, and he recently co-authored the Fourth Edition of the M29 Manual – Fundamentals of Water Utility Capital Financing.  

“I’m excited by the opportunity and challenge of my new role,” said Darin.  “My goal is to continue the excellent work of my predecessors and continue to be part of the team that provides great water to our customers at a fair value.”
