Meese Promoted to Manager of Legal Services and Government Relations
Lenexa, KS - Recognizing the expanding role of WaterOne's legal department, former Deputy General Counsel Darci Meese has been promoted to Manager of Legal Services and Government Relations effective May 19th. This new position creates a traditional manager role that will oversee the staff and day-to-day activities of WaterOne’s Legal Department, including contract review, risk management, litigation, record management, and open records requests. The restructuring will also prepare the department to bring in and manage additional legal staff as WaterOne's legal resource needs continue to evolve.
Darci began her career at WaterOne in 1999 as a law clerk. She became a full-time attorney in 2001, and took charge of governmental affairs in 2006. In 2008, she moved into the role of Deputy General Counsel.
Darci will continue to serve as WaterOne's governmental liaison, representing its interests at the federal and state level. "Governmental relations are an on-going duty," she said. "It's increasingly important for our organization to build and maintain relationships with groups such as our congressional delegation, the Army Corp of Engineers, the AWWA, and other key stakeholders.”WaterOne congratulates Darci Meese and wishes her much success in her new role.
